Backrest Service Kit - RECARO Sportster CS / Cross Sportster CS

Backrest service kit for the RECARO Sportster CS and Cross Sportster CS models, and the seats originally found in vehicles such as the Ford Focus RS, Lotus Evora and Landrover Defender. The kit includes plastic backrest shell, backrest foam, rear harness guides & tilt release cable.

The backrest shell supersedes the original Sportster CS backrest shell as it is no longer manufactured by RECARO. This shell is specially reinforced to provide greater rigidity to the seat structure. Due to the changes, it is not compatible with backrest foams or tilt release functions from Sportster models prior to this change.

Therefore, if you have a Sportster CS or Cross Sportster CS model that was manufactured prior to May 2021 and a replacement backrest shell is required, you will need to order this complete backrest service kit. It will include the new backrest shell, as well a new compatible backrest foam and tilt release cable, all of which need to be fitted to your seat. The kit also includes the rear harness guides as standard.

The backrest service kits come as left or right-hand relative to as you are sitting in the seat. Left-hand or right-hand will refer to which side the backrest tilt release cable is positioned.

The original backrest shells used on pre-May 2021 Sportster models are no longer available to order.

Other parts used on the backrest shells are compatible with both pre and post-May 2021 backrest shells, including the Sportster CS side panels, harness guide kit, and recliner handwheels and covers.
